At Q in Maquil, we believe great food begins with intention. Each evening, our kitchen comes alive with quiet focus, drawing from local ingredients, coastal flavors, and a deep respect for the land and sea that surround us.
 

Set on the hillside above Zipolite, Q looks out toward the Pacific, where ocean light moves across the cliffs and the sound of waves drifts into every conversation. The open-air dining room captures the essence of Oaxaca’s coast: relaxed, and unhurried.
 

Chef Gina García brings her world-class experience into each plate, not to impress, but to connect. Every dish reflects a contemporary interpretation of Oaxacan cuisine, guided by the seasons, the day’s catch, and a curiosity for flavor that invites discovery.
 

 ABOUT 

Our bar mirrors that same spirit,  thoughtful, expressive, and deeply rooted in Mexico. The wine list highlights producers from various regions of México; cocktails blend house infusions with local fruits and herbs; and our spirits selection celebrates the diversity of small-batch distillers across the region.
 

With just eight tables, the experience is intentionally intimate. Guests linger as the sun fades, enjoying food, drinks, and conversation under the changing colors of the evening. There’s no rush here, only the rhythm of good food, good company, and the sea below.
